- Menu depth. Count SKUs in 2 categories you buy.
- Tax and fee line. Note the checkout total against the shelf price sum.
Score card
Use 5 points per criterion. Weight convenience at 50 percent of the total: drive time 20, hours 15, order accuracy 10, wait time 5. Weight menu depth at 30 and price at 20. Publish the weights in the review so readers can re-run the math.

Example scores, not real stores. Store A: 12 minute drive, closes at 9 p.m., 3 of 3 orders correct, 6 minute wait. Convenience score 4.6. Store B: 5 minute drive, closes at 7 p.m., 2 of 3 orders correct, 14 minute wait. Convenience score 3.1. Store B wins on distance and loses on the other 3 criteria.

Compare formats, not just brands. Each format carries a different cost.
- Delivery: no drive, order minimums, a window you wait inside.
- Curbside or drive-thru: 3 to 8 minutes, narrow menu, no counter advice.
- Storefront with online order: widest menu, wait time set by the pickup lane.
- Walk-in storefront: no scheduling, longest wait at peak hours.
Record per visit
- Date, day of week, arrival time.
- Receipt total and the shelf price sum.
- Wait time in minutes.
- Order errors: wrong strain, wrong weight, missing item.
- Staff answer to one product question.
Red flags in a review
- No date. Hours and menus change.
- No price. A review with no receipt total cannot be compared.
- No store city. Tax rates differ by city and county.
Post the review
Post to Google and to one cannabis directory. Put the score card in the first 2 lines. Name the criteria you weighted. State what you did not test, such as delivery.
